We are pleased to present Trooper Ben Gardner as friend and speaker at our 2026 “Evening at the Burt” fundraising event this Fall.

Here’s a glimpse into his story:  “From the very beginning, my mission has always been the same — connecting with people and making a difference.  For the past 26 years, I’ve had the honor of serving as a Kansas State Trooper and, most recently, as the regional Public Information Officer for Troop C. I love what I do—helping, educating, and serving the public in the moments they need it most. Sometimes that means changing a flat tire or working a crash. Other times, it’s mentoring a young person, delivering difficult news with compassion, or simply having a conversation that changes a life—mine included.  If you’re looking for someone who knows how to connect with people in a real, honest, and engaging way, let’s talk.”

Indeed, on October 27, we will talk. This evening will energize you and give you hope for our future.
